Description: Beasley Media Group is looking for an AM/FM Chief Engineer for the Philadelphia, DE, NJ market. Applicants must have 5 years of experience, at least a two year electronics degree and be able to travel throughout the area to maintain radio studios and transmitter sites. Applicants must be able to manage the maintenance of sites as well as capital projects, communicate issues with management, and ensure compliance with FCC rules and regulations. Applicants must be willing and available to provide after hours support when needed. IT and directional AM experience is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee all studio, transmitter, and field equipment
• Work closely with management staff in order to help achieve the needs and goals of the stations
• Manage maintenance of AM and FM transmitter and studio facilities
• Maintain redundancy and emergency continuation of business
• Ensure station is compliant with FCC rules and regulations
• Provide off-hours support of stations when necessary
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, climb a ladder and provide general building and grounds maintenance as well as technical. Required Skills
• Transmitter, studio, and general building maintenance
• Broadcast Automation systems, Audio Vault Automation preferred.
• Previous leadership and management experience
• Budgeting and Capital planning Requirements
• 5 years in radio engineering
• Valid driver’s license
• At least two years of formal electronics training
• Provide his or her own transportation
• Must have basic tools to complete general work requirements.
