North Carolina Public Radio, WUNC-FM, the public radio station licensed to the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, seeks a full time reporter for general assignment reporting, including quick turn-around spot news, interviews, reporter debriefs, and well-researched feature reports.

The Reporter will be supervised by the WUNC Managing Editor. The position requires a flexible schedule with occasional weekend work and occasional travel around the state. The position also requires participation in on-air fund drives, station promotional events and staff meetings.

WUNC is headquartered in central North Carolina, consistently rated among the top areas to live in the country. The ocean and mountains are just a few hours away. North Carolina Public Radio reaches 350,000 listeners weekly and consistently has among the highest shares and ratings among all public radio stations in the country. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. A minimum of two years experience in reporting/anchoring is also required, public radio experience preferred.
