Details:
WCTI Newschannel 12 ABC is accepting resumes for a Weekend Meteorologist /Weekday Reporter/MMJ. We live up to our weather image "Alerting You to Severe Weather Danger" 24/7 on TV, on our digital platforms and on social media. Also, tracking hurricanes is what we do best! When a hurricane approaches, we stay on the air continuously until all threats are gone. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: weekend on-air meteorologist (AM or PM), news reporting three days a week, assisting the chief meteorologist build graphics and weekday fill-in meteorologist. Our weekend meteorologists typically report on the weather, environmental issues or features. |
Experience:
Experience using WSI's Max Storm system is desired. At least one year on-air forecasting experience is preferred. |
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be an excellent story teller, whether it be on their weather days or news reporting days. A degree in meteorology is required. Driver's license check will be performed prior to hiring.
