WFMY News 2 has an exciting opportunity for a Production Assistant! This position is an important member of the behind-the-scenes operations staff and will be responsible for filling roles for live newscasts. This is a great opportunity
for someone looking to begin their career in television with a rapidly evolving company. The ideal candidate is someone
who is a leader and innovator.
This is a part-time, 20-25 hours a week position.
Responsibilities:
- Operation of HD studio robotic camera, teleprompter, and various broadcast equipment.
- Edit stories for on-air and on-line.
- Assist web department in posting updates to our various websites and social media.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- A degree or work towards a degree in a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and computer skills.
- Flexible availability is essential. Position involves extremely early and late hours and includes weekends and holidays.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
- Basic knowledge of non-linear editing.
