The BIA represents the voice of the industry to governing bodies on a variety of issues. Active lobbying for industry members at the local, state, and national levels.

We offer many opportunities to get involved, meet other members, and share your expertise through events, committees and councils, and education.

- Ohio Home Builders Association - OHBA serves its membership by promoting proactive involvement on state issues and legislation impacting the residential building industry, wetlands, affordable housing, workers’ compensation, etc. www.ohiohba.com
- National Association of Home Builders - Since 1942, NAHB has been serving its members, the housing industry, and the public at large. NAHB’s various groups analyze policy issues, work toward improving the housing finance system, and analyze and forecast economic and consumer trends. www.nahb.org

Community Outreach:
BIA members come together to support the mission of the BIA Foundation and assist the central Ohio community through initiatives and projects such as workforce development, the Builders Boneyard, a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, and an annual food drive for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
Home Shows:
The BIA of Central Ohio hosts the annual Parade of Homes. This event exhibits the latest trends and products in home building and interior design.
