Emergency Preparedness Round Table Event and Blood Drive
The Emergency Preparedness Committee and the Red Cross will be hosting a Blood Drive on July 31, 2024 at 1105 Schrock Road from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. With easy online sign up and pre-screening, this will be very quick!
When donors come to give blood, they have a chance to win a 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn truck!
Those who come to give blood will get a Fandango Movie Ticket by email – which they can use to see the big-screen thrill ride TWISTERS on behalf of The American Red Cross! They will also get a American Red Cross umbrella.
Franklin County Emergency Services and the BOMA Columbus Emergency Preparedness Committee will be holding a Round Table event following the Blood Drive from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM at 5300 Strawberry Farms Blvd, Columbus, OH 43230. Lunch will be provided at 11:30 AM and the Round Table will begin at 12:00 PM. Come early and enjoy networking and lunch!
The Round Table discussion will include the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) platform, and how we utilize this DHS product to create a Common Operating Picture (COP), with enhanced Situational Awareness (SA). HSIN-provides real-time collaboration tools including a virtual meeting space, document sharing, alerts, and instant messaging at no charge. (HSIN) is to support the missions of Federal, State and Local emergency service professionals across the country by providing a secure and collaborative information sharing environment where they can communicate live during critical situations. FBI will also be at this Roundtable and will speak about collaborations with the private sector. If you are a downtown property manager, you don't want to miss this!
