1. Creating and launching a call for research and administration grants

The Mentoring Committee is charged with:

1. Establishing a mentoring database with all willing mentors
2. Establishing a more structured approach to mentoring (similar to the Coalition’s)
3. Focusing on mid- and late-career WPAs’ mentoring needs (career shifts from WPA work to other administrative roles)

The Outstanding Scholarship Award Committee is charged with:

1. Updating call and criteria for selection as needed and informed by changes in scholarship
2. Soliciting nominees for the annual CWPA Outstanding Scholarship Award, an award for outstanding article length scholarship published outside of the WPA journal
3. Prioritizing articles on diversity topics
4. Selecting a recipient for the award from among the nominees

Members of the WPA OS 4.0 Revision Task Force are tasked with the following:

1. Revising the current WPA OS 3.0 to be informed by a) recent scholarship in the field of Writing Studies, b) principles of social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, c) recent technological, social, and cultural changes that affect college students in first-year writing courses and beyond. 
2. Collecting feedback on the new OS draft from writing program administrators (WPAs) at a wide range of institutions.
3. Documenting the process (e.g., resources, discussions, rationales) to be part of the history of that document.
4. Submitting the final revision to CWPA Executive Board for discussion and approval.
5. Offering in-person and virtual professional development workshops to WPAs to facilitate the use of the new OS in their local contexts.
