About the program: 

Charitable giving is continually evolving—impacted by legislative changes, new technology, and emerging community needs. At this presentation, The Columbus Foundation will provide an overview of charitable strategies and vehicles that are becoming increasingly relevant, including charitable funds and qualified charitable distributions.


About the speakers:

Hilary Stone, MBA, CAP®, Senior Advisor for Donor Services at The Columbus Foundation, primarily works with donors, financial advisors, and attorneys to develop thoughtful philanthropic plans. She also manages educational, networking, and outreach activities for the Foundation’s Donor Services team.

Hilary holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Susquehanna University and an MBA from Otterbein University. She earned the Chartered Advisor of Philanthropy® designation through The American College of Financial Services and has completed the 21/64 Next Generation training.

Hilary is an active member of FPA of Central Ohio, Charitable Gift Planners of Central Ohio, Worthington Estate Planning Council, and the Advancement Network.

 

Bradley Britton, J.D., LL.M., Director of Planned Giving and General Counsel at The Columbus Foundation, works with donors and professional advisors to develop complex giving strategies and manage specialized assets. He also oversees legal matters for the Foundation, bringing extensive expertise in trusts, estates, and tax law to the team.

Brad joined the Foundation in 1997 after practicing as a tax and estate attorney in New York City and Connecticut, specializing in estate administration and probate litigation. He holds an economics degree and a juris doctorate from The Ohio State University, as well as an LL.M. in taxation from Capital University.

Brad is a past chair of the Columbus Bar Association’s Estate & Gift Tax Committee and an active member of the Charitable Gift Planners of Central Ohio.

Location: The Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Road - Clinton Room
Free parking is available at the Fawcett Center. Registered guests will receive a digital parking pass and detailed instructions via email prior to the event.

Continuing Education:
FPA Central Ohio will apply for 1 hour of CFP® credit and 1 hour of Ohio Insurance.
