| Jobdescription | Trending Media, a LOCALLY owned broadcasting company in Iowa is searching for our next News Director to replace our current director who is retiring from News Talk 1230 KFJB AM / 93.9 FM and Iowa’s Best Country, KIX 101.1. This position includes co-hosting our live, local morning show on KFJB. Candidate must possess the capacity to produce original local news along with strong writing, on-air and interview skills. You will be developing relationships with local public figures and will be expected to attend local meetings, events, etc. to gather stories and audio. Candidate must also be ready to cover breaking news situations, accurately reporting and updating information as it happens on-air and online sometimes outside of regular work hours during nights or weekends. You must have an understanding of the importance of news via our digital platforms and via social media. Applicant will also be assembling FCC Quarterly Issues. Here is a simple checklist.
