Position: Morning Show Host/Music Director
KLMJ 104.9 Hampton, IA; KQCR 98.9 Parkersburg
Job Description: As the morning show host and music director at KLMJ/KQCR, you are responsible for coordinating a shift from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and some Saturdays, and organizing the music library in our system.
Responsibilities include:
● Check commercial logs for missing/outdated spots for the day.
● Record weather forecasts and featured segments for your shift.
● Collect weather information from the previous day.
● Collect transmitter readings for our file.
● Help with live morning news casts.
● Produce ad copy in a timely manner.
● Prior experience with Adobe Audition and Skylla Producer is a plus.
● Fluent in using Facebook and Twitter.
● Download programming content.
● Use of social skills to communicate with co-workers and our listening audience.
● Studio produce remote broadcasts and sporting events.
● Working with music promoters to play artist’s music.
● Have a valid driver’s license
● Other duties assigned by management.
