Gun Violence Memorial Project Collection

The Gun Violence Memorial Project, extends an invitation to their two upcoming Remembrance Object Collection events happening for the Greater Boston community.
Friday, Nov 15: 1 - 5 pm
Saturday, Nov 16: 10 am - 1 pm
Location: MASS Design Group: 1 Chandler St, Boston, MA
The Gun Violence Memorial Project—comprising four glass houses that honor the lives and narratives of victims of gun violence—is currently installed at 3 locations in Boston: the Institute of Contemporary Art / Boston, Boston City Hall, and the gallery space at the MASS Design Group office. The houses will be on view at these locations through January 2025.
Through our Remembrance Object Collection events, local families who have had a family member taken due to gun violence are able to participate in the memorial by contributing an object in memory of their loved one. The objects will then be encased in glass and displayed in the memorial.
Please join us to donate an object, see one of four memorial houses, and be in community to uplift the stories of lives lost. We will have light refreshments available and families who contribute an object will also gain admittance to the ICA to view the memorial houses on display.
