Own Your Influence: Confident Local Government Leadership for Changing Times
When: March 5, 2026 from 9:15 am to 3:00 pm
Location: College of Holy Cross, Worcester
You are invited to join your WLG colleagues on Thursday, March 5 for the sixth annual Women Leading Government conference. This year's conference will feature a mix of in-person sessions and Zoom participation in the SheLeadsGov Virtual Symposium.
The day will open with a session based on the Women in the Civic Arena program. The Women in the Civic Arena weekend retreat was created to provide a space for women at the executive level in local government to understand the challenges facing women in the profession, to share experiences and make connections while developing a plan to live their whole, authentic selves. The session will be led by ICMA NE Regional Director and WICA faculty Kate Fitzpatrick and she'll be joined by program alumni.
Following a late morning brunch, attendees will join women from across the country via Zoom for two SheLeadsGov panel presentations:
- Command the Message: Strategic Communication for Women in Leadership
- Influence in Action: Women Leading Through Change
The conference will conclude with a facilitated discussion focused on the virtual sessions, giving attendees an opportunity to engage and share ideas.
The registration fee is $60 per person.
All working in local government positions are invited.
