And does “risk” mean “potential” in your The Assistant News Director will take the editorial lead each day to develop multi-platform content that succeeds on air and digital while maintaining the WFMY News 2 brand. As a station leader, you will lead, coach and motivate a team of producers, writers, reporters, anchors and photojournalists who are among the best in the business. A passion for producing great journalism with an emphasis on watchdog and advocacy work is critical for success in this role. The Assistant News Director must have strong ethics, a solid producing background, a desire and ability to win the day and be an exceptional troubleshooter all while being able to generate unique content and produce specials.
