Weekend Newscast Technical Director

FULL-TIME WEEKEND NEWSCAST TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
WCCB Charlotte (CW) is currently interviewing for a newscast director. A minimum of (1) year of directing live news, or relevant experience, and a minimum of (2) years of television production experience are required. Candidate must possess strong leadership abilities and work well under high stress deadline conditions. Strong communication skills are necessary.
This position will primarily be Friday through Tuesday 3pm - midnight. However, the candidate would also be required to fill in for vacation relief and any shifts deemed necessary by management to meet the operational needs of both WCCB and WOLO.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Direct and/or technical our 10pm newscast, our 10:30pm Edge entertainment style show, our sports show “Got Game”, and our WOLO 6pm and 11pm news – or any combination of the above.
SECONDARY DUTIES
Studio support - including camera operation, graphics, audio, video-tape playback and lighting, or any other tasks deemed necessary by management to meet the operational needs of both WCCB and WOLO.
