The qualified candidate will have at least three years experience as a reporter with at least one year anchoring experience. A bachelors degree in journalism, communications or a related field is required.
This is a working anchor job, no sitting around and reading scripts, you’ll need to make phone calls, help write, and collaborate with the producer and desk on coverage. When you’re not anchoring, you’re reporting. The right candidate will come to story meetings with actionable ideas, stories you come up with through your network of sources.
