Spotlight: Women in Pest Control
Leading with Nurture: Alysia Wrobel’s Journey to VP of Operations
We’re shining a light on Alysia Wrobel, Vice President of Operations at Kind Pest Control in Raleigh, NC!
Alysia started her journey in 2020 as an Office Manager in Tennessee and has since become an indispensable leader in Raleigh.
A Commitment to Growth and Community
- Passion for People: "I take pride in helping people, whether that's customers or employees." Although she doesn't like working with pests, Alysia thrives on the opportunity to help others in this industry, saying, "As women, we are natural nurturers, and this fills that need."
- Networking & Education: Alysia actively participates in leadership seminars, continuous education, and networking, especially through groups like PWIPM (Professional Women in Pest Management) — a supportive group she notes is key for networking and having inspiring people in your corner.
A Defining Moment
Alysia fondly remembers the NPMA's Women's Event in 2023, where she was inspired to see so many women thriving in a historically male-dominated industry.
Leading with Resilience
When asked about overcoming obstacles, Alysia shared, "Being a woman in charge is sometimes hard for some men to accept. But, I showed them that I'm not afraid to get in the trenches with them, and that earned their respect."
Thank you, Alysia, for your dedication to constant learning and strong leadership!
