o4a Connects with Older Ohioans at the State Fair
On August 4, thousands of older Ohioans gathered at the Ohio State Fair for the Healthy Aging Expo, creating a great opportunity for the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging (o4a) and Ohio’s aging network to connect directly with older adults, families, community partners, and aging professionals.
o4a and four Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) were on hand to answer questions, share information about available resources, and help attendees connect with the AAA serving their community. The event highlighted the important role AAAs play as a local connection to services and supports that help older Ohioans remain independent, healthy, and engaged in their communities.
At the o4a booth, attendees were also invited to share their greatest concern about aging. The responses sparked meaningful conversations about the issues that matter most to older Ohioans and how communities can work together to support healthy aging.
The Healthy Aging Expo was a valuable opportunity to listen, connect, and showcase the breadth of Ohio’s aging network. o4a thanks everyone who stopped by, shared their experiences, and helped make the Healthy Aging Expo a success.
