HME/CRT Advocacy Events Offer Virtual Opportunity to Make a Difference

Sept. 21 - NCART and NRRTS have announced that they will be hosting a Virtual CRT Congressional “Fly-In” on Tuesday, September 21 from 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern as part of National CRT Awareness Week. The event will keep CRT advocates connected with Capitol Hill to talk about issues impacting access for people with disabilities. This year, Congressional “visits” will be held remotely.  Save the date on your calendar and plan to join NCART/NRRTS for a day of sharing the needs and benefits of access to CRT with your Representatives and Senators.  Watch for details coming soon here.

Sept. 29 – Registration is now open for the American Association for Homecare’s Virtual Washington Legislative Conference scheduled online to meet with Members of Congress from 9 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern on September 29.  Don't miss this opportunity to send a strong message to legislators about the state of the HME industry and how officials can work with us to build a stable future for the millions of baby boomers who are going to become homecare patients in the next decade.  AAHomecare will schedule your meetings, provide background on each of the legislators you will be meeting with, and allow you and your fellow HME leaders to connect directly with Members of Congress and key legislative staffers. One week prior to the meetings, on September 22 at 2:30 PM ET, AAHomecare will host a one-hour advocacy event online offering issue education, training, and a chance to hear from thought leaders in the industry.  Click here for event details and registration.  We encourage members to use these remote platforms to engage your elected officials and be a part of these critical advocacy events!
