Ohio Department of Aging's 'Well Beyond 60! EXPO' Returns to Ohio State Fair on August 1

Access to Free Health Screenings, Wellness Demos, Giveaways & More

The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) will host the “Well Beyond 60! EXPO" at the Ohio State Fair on Senior Day – Tuesday, August 1, 2023 – from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Now in its seventh year, the EXPO will feature more than 20 partners offering free health and wellness screenings and demonstrations, nutrition information, and more. Visitors of all ages will learn about healthy choices they can make throughout their lifespans to ensure they live a healthier, more active life at age 60 and beyond.

“We are thrilled to be back at the Ohio State Fair once again for the seventh edition of the ‘Well Beyond 60! EXPO,’” said ODA Director Ursel J. McElroy. “Our staff and partners have prepared a wide variety of exciting and interactive displays that are both fun and informative, demonstrating the many tools and resources available to help older Ohioans thrive as they age. We hope that fairgoers of all ages and from all places will stop by, say ‘hi,’ and learn why Ohio is the best place to age in the nation.”

The EXPO spans nearly 3,000 square feet under tents located in front the Rhodes Center, just north of 17th Avenue. A map can be found on the State Fair’s website. The EXPO will be held rain or shine.

Admission to the Fair is free for adults ages 60 and older on August 1. Parking is free for people of all ages every day of the Fair.

The fair is also offering a free Senior Day concert presented by AARP. 1964 The Tribute, a Beatles tribute act, will perform at 1 p.m. in the Celeste Center.
