January 2024 DME Supplier Tracking Data Released

Ohio Has Experienced 45% Decrease in Supplier Locations

AAHomecare’s quarterly supplier number tracking sheet is now available with January 2024 data. AAHomecare monitors the DMEPOS industry by reviewing the list of Medicare enrolled suppliers. The updated tracking sheet continues to show a slight decline from last quarter’s update.

We now estimate there are currently 8,005 traditional Medicare DMEPOS locations across the country.  The data shows a 38% decrease in traditional DME supplier locations since 2013.

** OAMES Note: The number of traditional Medicare DMEPOS supplier "rooftop" locations in Ohio has now decreased by more than 45% from July 2013, when the Medicare Competitive Bidding Round 2 and Round 1 Recompete program began, to January 2024.
