Change Healthcare Network Interruption Alert: Brightree Webinar, ODM Announcement and AAHomecare Action

On February 21, Change Healthcare, a healthcare technology company part of Optum and owned by UnitedHealth Group, experienced a cyberattack that resulted in the company immediately taking their systems offline. 

We've learned that Brightree hosted a webinar yesterday afternoon and will host another one this morning to provide an update as they work to remediate this network interruption for HME providers.  We strongly encourage OAMES members to participate to learn the latest. The Ohio Department of Medicaid released this announcement yesterday also regarding the Change Healthcare cyberattack. 

Additionally, OAMES participated in AAHomecare's State Leaders Council bi-monthly call yesterday afternoon and this development was discussed with state, regional and national industry associations nationwide.  AAHomecare is gathering information and resources to help providers, working closely with Brightree and the payer community on behalf of affected HME companies.
