ODM Hosts MyCare Ohio Community Input Sessions for Members and Providers

Non-Institutional Session (DMEPOS Included) Scheduled June 27

The Ohio Department of Medicaid’s MyCare Ohio program has announced changes are forthcoming, including expansion of the program statewide. The MyCare Ohio program integrates both Medicaid and Medicare benefits into one program, coordinated by a managed care plan. 

They are conducting a series of in-person meetings throughout the state with Ohioans who are dually eligible as well as virtual meetings with provider stakeholders who provide these services over the coming months.

In these meetings, ODM expects to gain feedback on experiences from member and provider stakeholders navigating the current Financial Alignment Initiative demonstration, other Fully Integrated Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plan (FIDE SNP) models, and the providers that serve them. Feedback collected during the input sessions will be used to gather input and prepare for upcoming changes to the program. 

ODM held a statewide virtual kick-off on March 26 to provide an overview of the MyCare Ohio program, input session approach, and schedule. The presentation slide deck with updates and contact information is available here. 

If you currently receive services through the MyCare Ohio program or may be eligible, please join ODM at in-person community meetings scheduled March - September to learn about MyCare Ohio and share your experiences and suggestions. They also encourage caregivers or member advocates to join as well. 

Providers are urged to join virtual sessions which will also be held from March - September hosted by provider type. **Special OAMES Note: DMEPOS providers may want to join the community input session for "Non-institutional providers" scheduled June 27, 3:00 - 5:00 pm EDT.  Click here to register.
