Ohio Medicaid Managed Care Annual Open Enrollment Launches Soon
Resources Available for Recipients
The Ohio Department of Medicaid will soon launch its annual managed care open enrollment for calendar year 2025. Ohio Medicaid’s annual open enrollment lets recipients (members) take charge of their healthcare coverage for the year ahead. It’s the time of year when they can compare plans, the providers they work with, and the extra benefits they offer to make sure they’re getting services and supports enrollees need and want.
ODM has provided details, resources and contact information below for Medicaid managed care recipients. Please spread the word to help your customers that are enrolled in the Ohio's Medicaid managed care program.

2025 Managed Care Open Enrollment
Open enrollment for the 2025 plan year runs November 1 - 30, but you don’t have to wait until then. You can review the offerings and select a new plan anytime now through the end of November. Simply visit the Ohio Medicaid Consumer Hotline Portal at www.ohiomh.com or call the Ohio Medicaid Consumer Hotline at 800-324-8680 (TTY 711). Representatives are available 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
If you would like to stay with your current health plan, no action is needed for open enrollment. If you decide to switch, your new plan will begin covering you on the first day of the month following your selection. So, if you choose a new plan in September, coverage will begin October 1.
Letters are on the way!
Ohio Medicaid mails open enrollment letters between August and November to make you aware of the open enrollment period. You‘ll also get a phone call inviting you to connect with a customer service representative to ask questions or make a change.
