Two Ohio State Agencies, OOD and ODNR, Partner on State Park Accessibility
Moments after taking the oath of office, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed Executive Order 2019-03D, which established Ohio as a Disability Inclusion State. The order has motivated organizations and citizens alike to make public spaces in Ohio accessible for everyone, including those with disabilities.
Two State of Ohio agencies—Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR)—are showing their commitment to this inclusion through an Accessible Ohio partnership.
Accessible Ohio Specialist Brianna Potter recently presented to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' Northeast District about how a partnership with OOD can increase accessibility and inclusion at Wingfoot Lake and Portage Lakes state parks.
Ohio is at its best when everyone can enjoy all the beautiful outdoor spaces our great state has to offer! Check out the variety of activities and some of the scenery at Portage Lakes State Park and Wingfoot Lake State Park posted on the OOD website.
