AAHomecare President and CEO Testifies at Energy and Commerce Committee Meeting

On January 8^th, Tom Ryan, President and CEO of AAHomecare testified at the House Energy & Commerce Health Subcommittee hearing titled: “Legislative Proposals to Support Patient Access to Medicare Services.”  Mr. Ryan’s message focused on DME-related measures: H.R. 2005, DMEPOS Relief Act of 2025, H.R. 1703, Choices for Increased Mobility Act of 2025, and H.R. 2902, Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform (SOAR) Act of 2025.  Concerns about the recent reiteration of Competitive Bidding were also mentioned in his comments.   Other organizations invited to appear were the American Clinical Laboratory Association, National Home Infusion Association, and the a Law and Policy representative from the Center for Medicare Advocacy

The hearing consisted of significant back and forth dialogue as well as robust questions and answers between House members and guests.  Mr. Ryan’s appearance provides an excellent starting point for our 2026 grass-roots outreach.  Watch your email for updated materials coming soon that you can use to help raise awareness of the above-mentioned bills when interacting with your Senators and Representatives.
