Ohio Takes Next Steps to Modernize Eligibility Systems

The Ohio Office of Health Transformation has released for public comment a draft request to "waive" existing barriers to eligibility simplification, part of an initiative to streamline and simplify outdated eligibility processes for health and human services. Interested parties have until July 6 to submit comments, which OHT will consider for incorporation into a final Medicaid 1115 Demonstration Waiver request to the federal government in July 2012.
