Lobbyist
Ohio School Boards Association
The Ohio School Boards Association is seeking a lobbyist to advocate on behalf of public
boards of education. Responsibilities include working with legislators, education policymakers
and school district officials to advance the needs and interests of Ohio’s public schools and
boards of education.
Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with advocacy, the legislative process,
educational policy and school funding issues. Excellent oral and written communication skills
and strong analytical skills are essential. The successful candidate will be required to register as
a lobbyist with JLEC. Experience with grassroots level initiatives and having a Juris Doctor
degree is a plus.
