Alzheimer's Association's Northwest Ohio Chapter is in Need of Volunteers

Opportunities exist to work across various segments

It is a disease that affects millions of people around the world every year. And nearly seven million Americans are living with Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's Association said the number is expected to jump to 13 million in the United States by the year 2050.

There are a number of ways you can get involved with the local effort to help end the disease. According to the Alzheimer's Association, just over 10 percent of people age 65 and older have Alzheimer's.

Almost two-thirds of Americans with Alzheimer's are women. And in 2024, the health and long-term care costs for people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia are expected to reach $360 billion.
