The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is a leader in providing a patient-centered, clinically integrated medical education continuum, from pre-medical education to undergraduate medical education, and on through residency training, with an emphasis on primary care. The state’s only osteopathic medical school, our college was founded in 1975 and is located at Ohio University’s Athens, Ohio campus.

Job Description: Manages the process by which osteopathic medical students complete the last two years of clinical training at Centers of Osteopathic Research and Education (CORE) hospital sites (some are distant from the Athens campus).

1. Manages the overall operation, including fiscal oversight and records management, of an academic program in a hospital CORE site in accordance with Ohio University and Heritage College policies and procedures.
2. Accountable for hiring, training, performance management and career development of administrative assistant(s)/associate(s).
3. Responsible for recruiting, orienting and developing faculty and ensuring institutional agreements are in place as required for college credentialing.
4. Identifies and ensures the availability of resources and rotations at CORE site to meet academic and clinical education program requirements for Heritage College students.
5. Plans and provides student orientation, site visits and other events for student recruitment and retention.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health, Education, or related field.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience relative to the scope, functions, and responsibilities of this position.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial work experience.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed a Master’s degree in Health, Education, or related field.
- Have more than 5 years of work experience relative to the scope, functions, and responsibilities of this position.
- Have more than 5 years of supervisory or managerial work experience.
