Parish Nurse

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio has an exciting part-time opportunity (10-20 hrs per week) for a person to coordinate our Parish Nurse Program.
This position is responsible for development, coordination, and ongoing maintenance of the Parish Nurse Program through LSS Home Health Care. This includes developing program expectations, policies, and procedures; partnering with parishes and congregations to build and expand the program within their ministry; and managing and monitoring program effectiveness.
This position will actively partner with parishes to recruit and maintain a core of volunteers within the parish, and will develop and maintain internal and external networks to provide resources and referral opportunities for volunteer parish nurses.
- The ideal candidate will have a BSN and a valid RN license in the state of Ohio.
- Must have 5-7 years clinical experience and ideally at least 3-5 years community outreach/nursing experience.
- Previous experience providing supervision to staff and/or volunteers is helpful.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision along with demonstrated relationship building skills is required.
- Knowledge of the dynamics of a congregational setting is preferred.
