You're invited to 'The World's Largest Potluck' Nov 21 to break a world record and raise hunger awareness

You and your congregation are invited to help the Southern Ohio Synod break the world record for the largest potluck! The folks from Guinness will be there to record our numbers and get us into their World Records book! We’re aiming for 2000 participants, so bring your entire congregation and round up a few neighbors too!

Breaking records is fun, but the real reason for the potluck is to raise awareness of hunger in our country and to gather shelf stable food items to stock the shelves of local food pantries.

What to bring:

• A covered dish

• Your own plates and place settings (This will cut down on what goes into the landfill.)

• Your congregation, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone who enjoys potlucks and wants to help break a record!

• Pantry items to donate.

There’s no fee to enter, nor do you need to register ahead of time. You will be required to check in when you arrive so the Guiness Book of Records folks can keep track of our numbers.

Please help spread the word by sharing the flyers below with your congregation and other members of your community (schools, civic organizations, businesses) and make sure to put this event on your church calendar.
