Reminder! Youth Groups Invited to Make Videos for June 7th Synod Assembly Telling About Their Congregation’s Most Meaningful Ministry!

Synod Youth Groups! Bring news about your church to other Lutherans in Southern Ohio in a bold and creative new way!

You are invited to create a 90-second digital video that tells about the ministry of your church that is the most meaningful to you. Here is a great way to share with the whole synod what you think is the best, most important ministry of your congregation – the most meaningful to you and your friends. It is also a great way to get involved in the synod while showing off your tech and dramatic skills!

Which of your church’s ministries means the most to your group? Is it a ministry to inner-city homeless? The Vacation Bible School that reaches out to the neighborhood? A food pantry that feeds many hungry citizens? A great music ministry that makes worship more lively? Or perhaps your congregation’s youth ministry itself that helps you grow in faith?

Plan now to tell the story of the ministry you choose. Your 90-second video will show off your talent to the Southern Ohio Synod members attending Assembly in June.

Your completed digital video must be received by the synod no later than May 7, 2014.

You may:

• Upload it to YouTube or DropBox and then send the link to Pastor Aaron Layne at pastorlayne@gmail.com; Or,

• Mail it on a flash drive to Pastor Larry Donner, 1109 Thorny Ridge Trail, Lebanon, OH 45036 (ldonner@zoomtown.com).

Click here to hear more about the project from other young people of our synod! Contact Pastor Layne or Pastor Donner if you need additional information, and don’t forget to plan how to share your video with your own congregation! This is a project of the (new) 2014 Assembly Media Team!
