Obituary for The Rev. Paul Elhard

The Reverend Paul Elhard went to the Church Triumphant on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. He was 59 years old.

Pr. Elhard graduated with his undergraduate degree from Capital University in 1979. He later attended Trinity Lutheran Seminary and graduated in 1990.

He served Friedens Lutheran Church in Covington, Ohio from 1989 to 1995. He served as Chaplain at Children's Hospital in Columbus from 1995 until 1997. He then went on to serve at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Logan, Ohio from 1998 until 2007.

He served in a volunteer capacity in the Southern Ohio Synod as the Scioto Conference President from 1998 until 2007 and as a Synodical Specialized Pastoral Care Representative from 1990 until 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Julie and children, Noah, Hanna and Sam.

Calling hours will be held from 3-6 pm on Sunday, November 16 at the Roberts Funeral Home, 60 West Hunter Street, Logan, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 17 at Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Mill Street, Athens, Ohio. The Rev. Lynn Miller will preside.
