Obituary for The Rev. Earlean Miller

The Reverend Earlean Miller went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2014. She was 78 years old.

Pr. Miller was ordained in 1979 and was one of the first women to be ordained in the Lutheran denomination. She served Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Greensboro, North Carolina from 1979 until 1984. She then moved to Minneapolis where she served from 1984 until 1986 at Calvary Lutheran Church. Between 1986 and 1989 Pr. Miller served St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chicago and then Hope Lutheran Church in Columbus until her retirement in 2000.

After her retirement, Pr. Miller moved to Illinois, but stayed on the roster of the Southern Ohio Synod. Funeral services were held in the town where she resided.
