Greetings to my Fellow FPDA Members!

Welcome to 2024 and what I sincerely hope will be a prosperous year for you, your families and your companies. 

For FPDA, the future is bright.  We have completed the transition to our new association management company, Etherio, and we are encouraged by the professionalism and depth of knowledge Etherio brings to the table.  Importantly, we met our goal of completing the transition without disruption to member services or daily business operations.  Most importantly, we’ve begun the process of returning to profitability and long-term financial stability.

The FPDA Board of Directors has established several committees with crystal clear focus on the goal of returning to profitability.  It has been exciting to see the early work by these incredibly talented men and women.  FPDA is being well-served.  In the coming months, you will see an increasing level of engagement from these teams as they work to recruit new members, increase membership value and begin promoting the 2024 Joint Industry Summit in San Diego.  If you haven’t already, be sure to block October 6-9^th to join us at the Loews Coronado Bay resort! 

It’s easy to take for granted how unique FPDA is among industry associations.  Having been involved in several of them over the years, I’ve come to appreciate the unique value that FPDA offers to member companies: relentless focus on optimizing fluid power product distribution.  Membership in FPDA provides year-round value across your organization, from Sales and Operations to the C-suite.  The benchmarking survey reports available to participating members are invaluable tools for managing your business.  Monthly webinars cover content on HR and employment trends, the economy, sales strategies and leadership development.  Our Future Leaders in Motion program is honing skills and delivering new perspectives to leaders in your companies.  The annual Joint Industry Summit conference wraps it all in a bow with relevant topics, premium speakers and beautiful bucket-list destinations.  You can find some of these benefits in other associations, but not with the tailored fluid power focus, and not with FPDA’s greatest asset of all – you!
