2024 Research Funded by the GWA

The Georgia Watermelon Association plans to support and finance research initiatives this year with a budget of $17,000.  Researchers Ted McAvoy and Angelos Deltsidis will be performing projects in the spring 2024 growing season to study post harvest quality attributes for grafted watermelon in Georgia.  Performance results will be shared later at the 2025 GWA Annual Conference to be held at Chateau Elan, Braselton, GA on January 24-26, 2025.

To learn more information about the 2025 GWA Conference and registration, visit the Annual Convention page later this year or call our office, Dawn Cheplick at 706-845-8575.
