NFBA Honors First Certification Graduates at 2025 Expo

Knoxville, TN – April 2, 2025 – The National Frame Building Association (NFBA) proudly recognized the first group of graduates from its Post-Frame Certification Program during the 2025 Frame Building Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee.
These individuals completed the NFBA’s newly launched curriculum and passed at least one of the rigorous certification exams administered in partnership with the University of Missouri Extension. Each graduate received a certificate on stage in front of industry peers, celebrating their commitment to professionalism and continued education.

  • Steve Nilson - Vap Construction Inc - Atwood, KS
  • John Yoder - Shawnee Meadows Builders - Carbondale, IL
  • Zach Larison - AZ Custom Buildings - Omaha, TX
NFBA is currently offering a $165 credit to the first 100 people who pass at least one NFBA Certification Exam. This credit can be used toward NFBA products, publications, or event registration. Members can email jwhite@nfba.org to redeem their credit.
“This program is a major step forward for post-frame education,” said Morgan Arwood, NFBA Membership Director. “These graduates have set the bar, and we’re excited to support many more professionals through this training pathway.”
 
NFBA’s Certification Program Includes:
  • Self-paced online courses through the University of Missouri Extension
  • A comprehensive Study Guide and Answer Book
  • Two certification exams verifying knowledge in post-frame concepts and construction
Topics covered include post-frame terminology, math foundations, site prep, carpentry, framing, metal cladding, and more.
