David Scowden

David Scowden is an Environmental Health Technician at Marion Public Health who is passionate about serving his community.

David Scowden has worked as an Environmental Health Technician at Marion Public Health for the past three years. David has been a staple of Marion Public Health and he is passionate about serving and improving our community’s access to safer places. David always knows who to connect with to help a community member improve their situation. David is a pillar of support for our Environmental Health division, always jumping in to help whenever and wherever he can. He exemplifies our health department’s core values every day.

 

 

Ryan   

Ryan Hartson

Ryan Hartson is an Environmental Health Specialist in Training at Wood County Health Department who is making a strong impact in the field.

Ryan conducts inspections of food service operations and retail food establishments, helping ensure safe practices and regulatory compliance. He will graduate with his Master of Public Health with a specialization in Population and Health Sciences from University of Michigan on May 2, 2026. He will also be obtaining certificates in Applied Epidemiology and Environmental Sustainability. All while studying for his credentialing exam!

Ryan’s dedication to both his work and professional growth supports the health and safety of the community, and we look forward to his continued success.
