Doug Gober
Doug Gober brings over 46 years of experience in the funeral service industry, beginning his career as a sales representative in the casket industry. He has received numerous national awards and has consulted on marketing and merchandising projects globally. Doug played a key role in directing European operations for The Doody Group and was a pioneer in developing the York Merchandising Systems™, now used in over 7,500 funeral homes across North America.
In 2011, Doug joined Carriage Services, Inc. as Director of Development and Marketing, where he led strategic initiatives and training programs to enhance service and merchandise offerings. In 2012, he joined Live Oak Bank as Senior Loan Officer, specializing in death care management financing.
Doug founded Gober Strategic Capital in 2014 to expand his consulting services for death care businesses. In 2018, he partnered with The Foresight Companies to provide business valuations, succession planning, transaction representation, and financing solutions. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Doug earned his Business Degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama and became a Certified Public Accountant specializing in industrial audits and corporate taxes.
