It is my pleasure to personally welcome you to the 147th OFDA Convention & Exhibition. This week we will explore how our profession is Building Momentum: From Foundation to Future.

The dedicated OFDA staff, Executive Committee, Education Committee, and Convention Workgroup have worked diligently to create a convention that celebrates the strong foundation of our profession while looking ahead to where funeral service is going next.

For generations, funeral professionals have answered the call to serve families during some of life’s most difficult moments. While the needs and expectations of those families continue to evolve, the foundation of what we do remains strong. This week, we will explore how the traditions, knowledge, and values passed down by those who came before us can serve as steppingstones toward the future of our profession.

Convention also gives us an invaluable opportunity to learn from one another. Whether in a learning lab, on the exhibition floor, or at one of our social events, the conversations we have and ideas we share are often where our profession truly builds momentum.

Our presenters, exhibitors, and the entire OFDA team are excited to bring you outstanding education, innovative offerings, and meaningful opportunities to connect. I encourage you to engage with a presenter, visit an exhibitor you may not normally do business with, reconnect with an old friend, and introduce yourself to someone new.

Most importantly, take time to learn from one another, share what you know, and remain open to what comes next.
