Bob Baird - 1981

Genoa High School

Bob Baird received his Bachelors Degree from Defiance College and his Masters Degree from the University of Toledo. He retired from Genoa High School after 35 years.

Coach Baird was the head baseball coach at Genoa High School for 25 years, compiling a record of 383-262-4. During that time his teams won 8 Suburban Lakes League titles, 14 Sectional, 6 District and 1 Regional title.

Coach Baird was selected District Coach of the Year 3 times, Defiance College Alumni Coach of the Year twice and coached in the All-Ohio All Star Series twice. He served as the President of the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association in 1991.

In 1992, Bob was selected to coach in the National Junior Baseball Championships held in Boise, Idaho.
