Student Ministry Leader (6-12th grade)
Peace Lutheran Church, Gahanna
Position—Student Ministry Leader (6-12th grade)
Rate: 25-29 hrs/wk, with flex-time around summer immersion experiences.
Compensation: Starting at $25,000
Position Description— The student ministry leader serves the 6th -12th grade students and their families of Peace Lutheran Church in these ways:
Middle School Ministry (20%)
o Leading Sunday morning relationship building time
o Planning and organizing monthly large group relationship building events
o Supporting 7th-8th grade Catechism leader o Helping to organize yearly immersion trip to camp, servant trip, or other relationship building experience.
High School Ministry (40%)
o Weekly relational gathering for high school students
o Team Leader for other student involvement in the ongoing life of Peace: Tech and Worship Support Team, Musical Team, Servant Team, Small Group Team, etc.
o Includes monthly meeting with team leaders to encourage them as they connect with students.
o Help organize and lead yearly immersion trip to camp, servant trip, or other relationship building experience.
Family Ministry (10%)
o Work collaboratively with pastors and children’s ministry leader to create quarterly family focused events.
Communications and Administration (30%)
o Attend worship meeting (Monday mornings) and weekly staff meetings (Tuesday mornings). Preferred but not non-negotiable.
o Create and manage weekly communication: e-news, Facebook, Instagram
o Monitor student ministry budget and create fundraisers as needed.

o Passionate and growing faith in a Jesus who is inclusive of all people (all means all) and who sends his people to make this world more reflective of his compassion, justice, and love.
o Effective at relating to both students in 6-12th grade and their parents.
o Team leader who can encourage and support their team and lead them to be more deeply connected with the students and their faith community.
o Fluid in the use of social media and other communication platforms.
o College degree or in pursuit of it.
o Effective at relating to both students in 6-12th grade and their parents.
