Bookkeeper

Lutheran Outdoor Ministries in Ohio (LOMO)

The Bookkeeper is responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable, posting journal entries, managing all bank and investment accounts, payroll processing, generating timely and accurate financial reports, budgeting, managing cash flow and preparing for the annual fiscal audit. LOMO (Lutheran Outdoor Ministries in Ohio) has an annual budget of approximately $1.6 million. Professional experience with bookkeeping, accounting and the effective use of computer software including QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Word is required. Character traits needed include being honest, trustworthy, dependable, helpful, organized, self-motivated and attentive to detail. The position averages approximately 20 hours per week. Our ministry focus includes summer camp for families, individuals and congregations; year-round retreats for people of all ages; and environmental education for students.
