Here's how the synod office is supporting Bishop Dillahunt's call to prayer to raise up rostered ministers and lay leaders

In Bishop Suzanne Dillahunt's recent note to the synod, she asked for all members of the Southern Ohio Synod to pray for God's help in identifying and raising up leaders to 'assist the church in moving forward faithfully and energetically into God's preferred future.'

The Southern Ohio Synod office has the following learning opportunities in place for members of our synod to discern, refine and ignite their call to leadership within the church.

'Fishing for People--Evangelism for all the Baptized' workshop, May 13 led by Pr. Katie Kerrigan (Fishers Of Men Flyer May 2017)

Lay Eucharistic Minister training and commissioning on June 3 (Lay Eucharistic Minister Training and Commissioning June 3 flyer)

Region 6 Discernment Retreat (Region 6 Discernment Retreat Flyer Oct 2017)

Lay School of Theology courses (Look for new offerings in the fall)

Bishop's Youth Ambassador Program--The Bishop's Youth Ambassador Program is designed to educate and train High School students in the three expressions of our faith (Churchwide, Synodical, and Congregational Ministries). They then return to their congregation to share what they have learned. (Look for new offerings possibly in the fall)

Please share these opportunities with your congregation and encourage future leaders in your church to attend.

We are stronger and better together: Joining Jesus in the restoration of the world!
