Lenten resources from Lutheran World Relief

Walk with Lutheran World Relief during the season of Lent and announce to the world that the hope of Christ makes a new season possible: a Season of Hope. LWR has prepared a suite of resources to energize congregations for global good, including:

• A special homily series featuring pictures and stories of the families you reach with LWR
• Step-by-step instructions to assemble Personal Care Kits for families in need around the world
• Weekly devotionals by Lutherans in the U.S. and LWR staff
• Palm Sunday bulletin insert and children’s activity sheet

On Palm Sunday, wave palms and deliver hope for the hands that harvested them with Eco-Palms! Lutheran World Relief has partnered with the University of Minnesota Center for Integrated Natural Resources & Agricultural Management (CINRAM) to gather and sell palms from Mexico and Guatemala in a socially and environmentally just way. The farmers who harvest, sort and package Eco-Palms are paid fairly for their work and use harvesting methods that protect the environment – and their future livelihoods – so they can escape the cycle of poverty.

Starting January 18, visit lwr.org/palms or call 651.487.7189 to place your order! You can also download a bulletin insert and children’s activity sheet to share with your congregation. Eco-Palms are delivered the week before Palm Sunday.
