Reminder! 'Blast Off for Books' collection at SOS Assembly--Don't miss out on this great way to serve the youth of Houston!

The Gathering has recognized the need to lift up literacy in Houston. Building a foundation of literacy starts before Kindergarten. By joining the Gathering's Blast Off for Books campaign, you will help ensure bright futures for Houston's students. The books you donate will be distributed at community book fairs, camps and other events around the city as part of the Gathering's Service Learning experience. By putting books in the hands of Houston's economically disadvantaged students, you can help change lives.

Please download the PDF below, which contains the list of specific books for you to purchase for the campaign. DO NOT DONATE BOOKS THAT ARE NOT ON THIS LIST.

Bring your book donations to the SOS assembly on either June 1 or 2 and look for the special drop off area for your donations. Books will be gathered, boxed up and transported by our SOS Gathering participants to Houston this summer.
