Reminder! Social Statement on Women and Justice draft responses due by Sept 30

In 2009, the Churchwide Assembly authorized the development of a social statement on women and justice. The ELCA Task Force on Women and Justice: One in Christ has been at work since 2012 and brought the work to a crucial stage: On November 15, 2017 it released the draft of a Social Statement on Women and Justice. The comment period on the draft is open until September 30, 2018. Please take time to review the draft document and respond before the September deadline.

How do I respond? You can find a response form in the back of the printed copy of the draft, also located online at bit.ly/womenandjusticedraft. General email comments can be sent here. You can also attend a hearing to respond verbally to a representative of the task force. Responses that reference line numbers from the draft itself will help the task force quickly identify your area of affirmation or concern.
