ELCA offers grants for new mental health ministries-apply today!

ELCA synods, congregations, and their affiliates are invited to develop a three to six month Mental Health Ministry Plan and receive up to $10,000 to assist in implementing such plan in 2019.  The National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), Pathways to Promise, and Suicide Prevention Ministry have agreed to partner with the ELCA and invite bidders to contact them for resource materials, trainings, consultations, and learning about a variety of other services that can be incorporated into the ministry plan. We’re so excited to launch this opportunity to fund as many as 25 grants at $10,000 each and encourage you to share this information with those you know.  Questions can be directed to Disability.Ministry@elca.org or by contacting Carol Josefowski; proposals will be accepted until Jan. 31, 2019 and funding is predicted to be a total of $250,000 by January 2020.
