• A 2013 Pew Center survey revealed that 84% of Latino respondents stated religion is important to them, with 38% stating it is important to have the sermon or mass in Spanish.
• There are 23 countries around the globe where Spanish is one of primary languages of that nation.
• Spanish is the fastest growing language in the United States with more than 17 million people over the age of 5 speaking it in the home.
Spanish for Ministry is sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Seminary in partnership with Speak Our Language, LLC and welcomes everyone! You will participate in programs centered around:
• enabling you to communicate in Spanish
• the experience of fun while learning
• exposure to the Hispanic culture
• immersion in the Spanish language
• a non-traditional classroom setting
• building a basic religious vocabulary
