New 'Coaching' page for rostered ministers launched for those ready to take the next step

Why Coaching?

To help fulfill the Southern Ohio Synod’s vision of ‘Stronger and Better Together…Joining Jesus in the Restoration of the World,’ the Southern Ohio Synod offers 1:1 coaching to its rostered ministers for ongoing ministry development and support.

Guiding Principles (from the ELCA Coaching Ministry)

• God’s mission and the work of the Holy Spirit are the heart of coaching
• Coaching is a ministry of accompaniment and encouragement
• God provides everything needed to accomplish God’s purposes for every leader and congregation
• Effective leadership is adaptive leadership--Coaching facilitates adaptive leadership

All rostered ministers in the Southern Ohio Synod are invited to yoke themselves with one of our trained coaches for the purpose of growth, support, encouragement and motivation to take the next step in leadership.
